Deepika Padukone's ex-boyfriend Nihar Pandya and Arpita Khan tried to work out a romantic relationship, but things did not work out between them.
Contrary to the grapevine that Salman Khan's younger sister Arpita Khan and Nihar Pandya are a couple, the truth is that the two were never seeing each other. Incidentally, both of them did try to work out a relationship but could never go beyond friendship, apparently, as Nihar realised that he has still not gotten over his ex-flame Deepika Padukone, who is now dating Ranbir Kapoor.
A close friend of Nihar says, "Nihar and Arpita were never going around with each other. They both do hang out together and tried working at their relationship but there was no romantic inclination from either side. Nihar is yet to get over his feelings for Deepika and is still good friends with her. So, there is a strict 'no' from his side. Arpita, on the other hand, has recently broken up with long time boy friend Arjun Kapoor (Boney Kapoor's son) and has found a solace in Nihar's friendship.
Rumours of their affair were fuelled when Nihar was spotted at Arpita's birthday party, recently. Also Nihar was often spotted at Arpita's house at Galaxy apartments. Adds our source, "However, there is nothing more than platonic friendship between them."
We setn a message to Nihar to confirm the story, but he did not revert.
